Nathan has been the Chief Investment Officer with Fortunatus Investments, an affiliated company of Executive Wealth Management, since 2015. Prior to that, he served as a consultant to Executive Wealth Management since 2006 and Fortunatus Investments since its inception. He has been integrated into the design of the investment models at Fortunatus from the founding of the company. His specialties include development, testing and implementation of systematic rules-based investment strategies. Prior to joining Fortunatus full time, Nathan was the Director of Research at AdvisorGuide, LLC, an investment research firm. Nathan grew up in the Chicago area of Illinois and now resides in Farmington, MI with his wife and two boys. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from Taylor University, Upland, IN and his Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designation.
Kevin aids in the collection, maintenance, and quantitative analysis of the financial data needed to develop and maintain the models for Fortunatus Investments. Kevin received his Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from Wayne State University.
Steven Kahan has been an Investment Analyst at Fortunatus Investments, an affiliated company of Executive Wealth Management, since 2021. Previously, he worked for Lighthouse Partners, a global alternative asset manager, as a research analyst, and Free Market, Inc., a boutique macroeconomic consultant, as an associate economist; both were in Chicago. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Northwestern University and a Masters of Science in Finance from the University of Illinois, as well as the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
Chris is a hedge fund industry veteran with over 20 years of experience in portfolio management, equity and credit research, macroeconomic research, derivative strategies and strategic risk management. He currently serves as a member of the Fortunatus Investment Committee.
Chris’s financial management experience spans across multiple asset classes to include expansive research coverage of over 1000+ companies analyzed career-wide. Drawing on a wealth of knowledge gained throughout several economic cycles as an institutional investor, Chris is quick to adapt to dynamic market conditions and has an innate ability to preemptively mitigate risks, protect investor capital and capitalize on opportunities through periods of economic uncertainty and unprecedented market volatility.
Chris is a Partner and Managing Director of a Dallas-based financial services firm that provides a full range of financial, business strategy, capital structure and M&A advisory services to high-growth companies. Additionally, Chris serves as a consultant for a Dallas-based venture capital firm focused on early-stage funding of high-growth Technology companies. Chris holds a BBA in Finance and a BS in Computer Science from Texas Christian University (TCU). Chris has been a CFA Charter holder since 2004.
